For November 27th

In this week’s Big God Story-God is Worshiped (Psalms)
The God of all creation is holy and worthy of all worship. We were created to be in a worship-filled relationship with our Creator. Scripture tells us that if God’s people don’t praise Him for who He is, the rocks will cry out in praise of Him. Our God is worshipped.

Blessing: Children, may you remember that you were created to love and worship God.

The Big God Story this Sunday – God is Victorious (The Exodus, Part 2)
After that, the Bible says “the people feared the Lord and put their trust in him” (v. 31). Of course they did—God had just done an amazing miracle right before their eyes! God had saved them from the Egyptians a second time. God had won the battle. He is victorious! He fought for and freed His children. He is victorious! The Israelites were so happy they began to celebrate and praise God by singing, dancing, and playing instruments right on the banks of the Red Sea.
But God won the biggest victory of all through Jesus. Jesus, God’s Son, came to earth, died for our sins, and rose again, claiming victory once and for all over sin and death! When we choose to trust and obey Jesus, we’re adopted into God’s family. We become His children, and He fights for us even today.

Blessing: Children, may you know that God is victorious, and He will care for you.

Psalm 98:1, 4–9a:
Sing to the LORD a new song, for he has done marvelous things; his right hand and his holy arm have worked salvation for him … Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music; make music to the LORD with the harp, with the harp and the sound of singing, with trumpets and the blast of the ram’s horn—shout for joy before the LORD, the King. Let the sea resound, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it. Let the rivers clap their hands, let the mountains sing together for joy; let them sing before the LORD, for he comes to judge the earth.
