Kids Connecting with Christ
Sundays 9:00 AM & 10:30 AM

In Kids Connection Preschool-Nursery, screened and trained volunteers, provide safe and caring childcare for children ages birth through Pre-K. Our Preschool Room uses the TruBlessing Curriculum; TruBlessings teaches 3-5 year old children that God made them, God loves them, and God is with them. We teach this through crafts, activities, singing, Bible storytelling, and more.

Kids Connection-Elementary
Kids Connecting with Christ
Sundays 9:00 AM & 10:30 AM

We invite your kindergarten through 5th grade children to come be a part of our Kids Connection-Elementary program.

9:00 AM Service: Children will start with their parents in “big church” and then dismissed before the sermon. Children will head to the Kids Connection room (rm. 203) for a tradition Sunday School class. Children will be challenged to learn and apply the truths of God’s Word. The D6 Discovery Kids curriculum includes an Old Testament study, a New Testament study, and a Special Topics study in each unit.

10:30 AM Service: Children will be with us the whole service; Church for Kids. They will discover what the Bible says about the part they play in God’s BIG STORY.  The TRU curriculum used, teaches the Bible in a chronological, timeline format. The Big God Story is God’s entire story stretching from Genesis to Revelation. Kids will see the whole Bible and how God’s Big Story connects to their own story. Keeping the focus on God statements that show kids that no matter the story, God is always central.

Growing Their Faith
2nd & 4th Saturdays
8:30-10:30 AM

We’ll hang out and get to know each other, eat some donuts (and other snacks), talk about life stuff, and learn about serving in our home, church, and community. Our current series is “Moses-Ordinary Hero”-The story of Moses is one that has captured the imagination of so many believers, young and old, for thousands of years. Moses went from being a baby in a basket to being a prince in the house in the house of Pharaoh. In this series, the children will get a front row seat for the majority of Moses’ life. They will see how God’s plan unfolded for Moses: the “Ordinary Hero.” They will begin to see how God can use ordinary people (like them) to do extraordinary things.

Children often find it difficult to process and express grief when they have experienced the death of a parent, grandparent, sibling or close friend.

Good Grief 4Kids provides a safe place for children to explore emotions and to creatively express their thoughts, feelings, hopes and fears. Stories, games, art, music, discussion and journaling provide a means to do just that.

If you know of a child who might benefit from this type of program, please share this information.

For more information please contact Miss Lynn, Director of Kids Connection Ministries, at ldorsey@slefc.org or 262-742-2366.
