We are fully and deeply aware of our dependence on God for our every need. Our Salvation, our daily needs, and the strength and motivation to serve are all extensions of His grace.
Psalm 62:7-8 My salvation and my honor depend on God; He is my mighty rock, my refuge. Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.
We value the regular communication of God’s truth, as expressed in Scripture through relevant, inspiring, and accurate presentations of His Word when the church is gathered in whole or in parts, and in our homes.
2 Timothy 4:2-3 Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction.
We understand that communication with God in prayer is a tremendous privilege and a necessary means through which we acknowledge our dependence on Him and seek His will. In response to this great privilege we seek to be people of prayer and we encourage prayer in the home, in small groups, and whenever the Church is gathered.
Colossians 4:2 Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.
We believe that worship is a fitting response to the love and grace of God. Therefore, we live our lives as expressions of worship to God; and we gather regularly and express our worship to God in inspiring and reverent times of praise and celebration.
Hebrews 12:28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe.
We understand that God has joined us together as a family and so we seek to live as a community caring for each other, encouraging each other, and motivating each other toward the pursuit of following Christ ever more closely.
Romans 12:10 Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves.
We believe that godly leadership is essential to a healthy church so we pursue the identification, training and encouragement of godly leaders in every area of our church family.
Jeremiah 3:15 Then I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will lead you with knowledge and understanding.
We believe that every follower of Christ has been given gifts, abilities, and a variety of resources that should be used in God’s service. We are not owners of anything but rather stewards of all that God has entrusted to us and it is our privilege to discover how God would have us use these resources for Him.
Ephesians 2:10 For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
We believe that healthy families are essential to a healthy church and community; so we intentionally promote the spiritual health of each family.
Deuteronomy 6:6-7 These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.
We believe that we are recipients of tremendous grace therefore we extend grace to each other as we grow and mature in our walk with Christ.
Ephesians 4:32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
We are honored that God has placed us in this locale and time with purpose. We seek to extend the love of Christ and the truth of His gospel to our community. Through corporate, family and individual acts of love and gospel proclamation we desire to be God’s ambassadors to the Southern Lakes area.

We are compelled by God’s love for the world that is global and not constrained by time or geography so we seek to embrace God’s heart and be a part of supporting and participating in the cause of the gospel around the world.
