For November 6th

BEGINNER’S MINISTRY (birth-PreK)
In this week’s Big God Story-God Speaks (Calling of Samuel)
As a young man, the prophet Samuel lived in the temple studying with Eli the priest. One night as Samuel was sleeping, he heard someone call his name. Thinking it was his teacher, Samuel went to Eli. Each time, Eli sent the young man back to bed. The third time, Eli realized it was God’s voice Samuel was hearing. He told Samuel to tell God that he was present and listening. When God called to Samuel, He did just as Eli instructed. Samuel grew up hearing God’s voice and served as a priest, prophet, and judge.

Blessing: Children, may you hear God’s voice and follow Him every day.

ILLUMINATE-It’s Family Service this Sunday, children will be worshiping with their families in “big church”. Look for the Illuminate Kid’s Sermon Note sheets on the table by the sanctuary doors.

The Big God Story this Sunday – Remember and Celebrate (Joseph, Part 2)
Today as we look back on everything we’ve discovered in the past few weeks, we’re also going to remember and celebrate God as our Redeemer. What does redeemer mean? Redeemer means someone who buys back.

Blessing: May you know God loves you and redeems you. May you rest in His peace, joy, and grace this week.
Psalm 98:1–9a
Sing to the LORD a new song, for he has done marvelous things; his right hand and his holy arm have worked salvation for him. Celebrate.
The LORD has made his salvation known and revealed his righteousness to the nations. He has remembered his love and his faithfulness to Israel; all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God. Celebrate.
Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music; make music to the LORD with the harp, with the harp and the sound of singing, with trumpets and the blast of the ram’s horn—shout for joy before the Lord, the King. Celebrate.
Let the sea resound, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it. Let the rivers clap their hands, let the mountains sing together for joy; let them sing before the LORD. Celebrate.
